Tommy Boy Party - CroBar -  Victor Calderone, Jocelyn Enriquez, Deborah Cooper

After hearing David Knapp spin a wonderful tea dance set at Amnesia, we headed down to Cro Bar to catch the Tommy Boy party.  A very professional and courteous door staff let us enter with our conference passes (unlike the Subliminal and Strictly Rhythm parties who required an additional $20).  On a Sunday night, the place was packed - with lots of beautiful people having a wonderful time.

Victor Calderone spun a very hard house set and for the first time I understood it.  Being a primarily trance/NRG dj, I don't play this style and don't get these kind of records.  Hearing Victor Calderone work the crowd in a frenzy and even throw in the occasional vocal (yes he played Lulu "Hurt Me So Bad") got me into this agressive hard house music

Hostess Kitty Meow (love the hair) introduced Jocelyn Enriquez.

Jocelyn Enriquez sang her new song "When I Get Close to You" which was produced by the Thunderpuss boys.  She has transcended the freestyle genre and gave the crowd a performance that proved she was not just another track act.  Dancing, singing - she would be a great singer to book in any club around the country.

Later on - Miss Deborah Cooper entered the stage - coming down the long staircase, working every step.  The voice behind Clivilles & Cole's "Pride (A Deeper Love)," Deborah belted out "Do It Properly."  She felt the crowd and they loved her - pulling people on the stage to dance with her..
